Mackay's Wild OutDoor Store

David MacKay began his business in the mid eighties selling firewood to a few select customers and has since grown into the largest split firewood supplier in the area. Looking to diversify, in 2000 he took his passion for the outdoors and opened MacKay’s Wild Outdoor Store. He began by selling primarily canoes, kayaks, paddle-boats and associated gear as well as a selection of camping equipment.

The store grew and by 2004, after adding fishing and hunting supplies, it diversified into a complete outdoor experience. MacKay’s Wild Outdoor Store has since evolved into the largest outdoor store in northern Nova Scotia.



We carry a complete line of adventure products, from fishing supplies to kayaks. We also stock a large inventory of “hard to find” and “unique' items.
