Our 18 cabins, situated on just over 12 acres in a quiet riverside setting were built between the late 1930’s and the 1950’s and maintain much of their original charm. All cabins are fully furnished with bathroom, some come equipped with a kitchenette and many have either electric heat or woodstoves.
Activities on site include lawn games, a children’s play area and free use of canoes. We are located 1 km East of Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Canada on the Glooscap Trail - so are close to all the town’s amenities, including shops, restaurants, golf course, the Fundy Geological Museum, the Ship’s Company Theatre as well as the world’s highest tides and miles of beaches renowned for their rock and fossil finds. We look forward to welcoming you (and your pets) in person to Riverview Cottages.
Riverview Cottages has for many years been operated by Mrs Bernice Byers. For the many regular customers to the cottages we would like to inform you that Mrs Byers has now retired and the business is under new management. The new owners, Paul Hayes and Angela Foster would like to take this opportunity to introduce themselves to both regular customers to Riverview Cottages and to those who may be thinking of visiting us in the coming seasons.
Originally from England, we emigrated to Canada in 2001. We lived in Calgary for 4 years and moved to Nova Scotia in 2005, initially to the Halifax area and then to Parrsboro after purchasing Riverview Cottages in November 2005.
We became naturalized Canadians in October 2005 and look forward to our new life as Canadian citizens. We come to Riverview Cottages after working in the computer industry (Paul) and the health service (Angela) and look forward to putting all the skills and knowledge from our past to good use in running the business.
We plan to make some changes and upgrades over the coming seasons but we hope not to detract from the rustic charm of the cabins which is something that has kept people returning to Riverview Cottages year after year. We would love to hear from anyone who has visited the cottages in the past and has any feedback for us regarding what they liked about the cottages and what new things they would like to see.
We look forward to meeting all our guests - new or returning
Proud Supporter of Nova Scotia
