The mission of the Springhill Police Service is to work in concert with the citizens of Springhill to maintain a safe and peaceful community.

We the members of the Springhill Police Service are proud to interact with the citizens we serve to ensure public safety and to enhance the positive quality of life in our community.

The Patrol Section is a foundation for the Springhill Police Service and provides 24 hour, 365 days of the year, community policing. Officers are divided into four platoons. Each platoon consists of a Deputy Chief, Sergeant, Corporal, and a Senior Constable. Each senior officer is partnered up with another experienced Constable. Each member works 12 hour scheduled shifts.

General Duties Include:

  • Patrol the community of Springhill
  • 911 emergency response
  • Investigate Crimes as defined in the Criminal Code
  • Enforcement of Provincial Statutes and Bylaws
  • Traffic Enforcement
  • Domestic violence response
  • Crowd control at various community events
  • Proactive community involvement
  • Summer bicycle patrol
  • Problem solving
  • Response to non-emergency calls
  • Funeral Escorts / Honor Guards
