Williams Rawding MacDonald traces it roots to a practice founded in 1978 by the late Dick Steele CA. For many years, we practiced under the name of Steele Williams & Rawding, until March 2005 when the current name was adopted. Located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, the firm services clients throughout North East Nova Scotia, but particularly in Pictou County.
Over the years, William Rawding MacDonald has experienced consistent growth, and the firm now consists of three partners and ten full-time and one part-time staff. We believe that this growth is a direct result of our focus on providing a high level of professional service to clients at reasonable rates. We have built a strong reputation within the community for offering value-added services in a broad range of accounting related areas, including auditing and other assurance engagements, accounting systems setup and support, taxation, managerial consulting and estate planning.
We are proud of the level of support our staff gives to the community through their volunteer activities. As well, as a firm, we support community fund raising efforts such as Curl for Cancer, The Children's Wish Foundation and Summer Street Industries by providing staffing for their charity events.
Kent Williams CA, Partner
A long-time resident of Pictou County. Kent graduated from St F X University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and achieved his CA designation in 1979. He joined the firm in 1985 after spending 8 years with Doane Raymond in their Sydney, Vancouver and New Glasgow offices. Kent's strengths are in the taxation area. He currently serves a variety of clients with an emphasis on taxation for professionals and owner-managed businesses.
Kevin MacDonald CA, Partner
Kevin has been a resident of Pictou County, NS since the completion of his business administration degree from St FX in 1986. Upon obtaining his CA designation in 1992, He joined the firm of Steele & Cleveland and became a partner in the firm of Steele, Williams & Rawding in 2000. Kevin's practice with Williams Rawding MacDonald LLP focuses in areas of assurance and tax, with emphasis on owner-managed businesses, non-profit organizations and municipal governments.
