Glace Bay Fisheries is a federally regulated processing facility, which is QMP certified as well as holds a valid EU registration. With a well-trained staff and Quality personnel on staff we can provide products to the strictest quality specifications demanded by our customers.
Groundfish: Cod, Haddock, Pollock, Redfish, Flounder, Greysole, Yellow tail, Hake. Monkfish, Skate and Catfish
These species are produced in both fresh and frozen, and available year round.
After fresh, shatter pack and IQF products are our specialty. Custom and private label packing available. All forms of frozen product can be produced in our modern facility with our plate, blast and tunnel freezing equipment.
Snow Crab: Available live only from Open of season approx. June 1st – the end of Sept.
Lobster: Available live from May 15th – July 15th
Herring: Available fresh in early fall depending on season opening.
Mackerel: Available fresh from August to October.
Shrimp: Available fresh whole shell on from April 1 to December 31
