Established in 1951, the Original Brothers Meats is a family run business that has been a Halifax tradition for over 50 years. The Old World recipes were brought to Halifax from Poland by Maximillian Kielbratowski for all Canadians and visitors to enjoy. His legacy lives on through his family who has continued to perfect the art of true Nova Scotia maple hardwood smoking.

Twin brothers Peter and Andre now operate the business and have been part of the business for over 30 years. Brothers Meats is especially famous for its world renowned pepperoni which is available in a variety of flavours. Brothers produces over 2,000 pounds (900 kilograms) of pepperoni a day! It is sold in supermarkets, gas stations, and convenience stores all over Nova Scotia, as well as in the Brothers retail store in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The extraordinary flavour and aroma of real maple hardwood smoke is impossible to duplicate with today's electrical smokehouses and is even harder to resist. Cooking and smoking with maple hardwood is an old fashioned technique developed in the 'Old Country', Poland, and perfected here in Nova Scotia. For many years, Nova Scotians have been enjoying the enhanced flavour and secret spices of Brothers smoked meats which are truly delicious and irresistible.

At Brothers Meats, we have a delicious and carefully prepared deli assortment including:

For your convenience, at Brothers Meats we can also package our meats for travelling so that you can take a little taste of Halifax back home with you!!
