Sharon Fiske-Muise has been operating her business on the Bedford Highway for 20 years and she finds inspiration from the view looking out over the Bedford Basin.
With windows and doors flung open and the glistening ocean filling the vista, Fiske-Muise said she couldn’t find a better spot to work.
“I’ve created a new look for my line of pottery with a real Maritime flavour in the designs”, she said. “It’s a seascape coastal look. I did this because I wanted to get back to my roots and develop what is around me as an artist, because we are being taken over by the world and its global economy. I thought that when people traveled they should really go to a place and be able to pick up something that is locally made; hand-crafted from people who actually live there.”
