Piano Tuning:
Every acoustic piano purchased from, or restored by, Doctor Piano has been tuned repeatedly until stable prior to delivery. In addition every piano receives a warranty tuning after delivery. Doctor Piano is affiliated with the finest tuner-technicians in the Maritimes. Should you need a tuner we will be glad to recommend one.Reconditioning & Rebuilding: What’s the difference?

Reconditioning is the less costly option. If an older upright or grand is in good enough condition to warrant the project, replacements are made where necessary, every aspect of the piano’s performance and sound is enhanced. The piano is given a new lease on life and will provide musical satisfaction for years to come.

Rebuilding is more comprehensive, undertaken when the final result promises to be outstanding. A full rebuilding/restoration will encompass:

Replacement of pinblock
Replacement of strings and pins
Replacement of action
Soundboard and bridge maintenance
Cast-iron plate rebronzing
Complete refinishing of the cabinet

Total rebuilding is especially recommended for vintage grand pianos. Doctor Piano established its reputation reconditioning and rebuilding. We have a fully equipped workshop and five in-house, seasoned technicians dedicated to the thorough and meticulous work these pianos deserves.

Rentals:
Special occasion rentals (such as conventions and recitals) are available. Consignments and trade-ins are welcome.
