The mission of the Mental Health Foundation guides the work we do on behalf of mental health consumers in Nova Scotia.
The Foundation supports a world-class mental health system, helping all Nova Scotians attain the highest possible level of mental health.
The Foundation will provide support by securing financial contributions and developing partnerships, building public trust, and increasing understanding and advocacy for mental health. The Foundation’s commitment to the Nova Scotia Hospital, and to the programs and services provided by the Capital District Mental health Program remains unchanged.
The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia’s fundraising initiatives have helped support patient care, research, and educational initiatives. This success was made possible through the financial support of businesses, organizations and individuals and with the generous gifts of time and talent from an army of dedicated volunteers.
