Ship Harbour Boat Tours and Charter Services Limited is a new family orientated company, incorporated on December 10, 2002. Our business is mainly focused in three areas: tourism, education and industry.
We are located on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia on the Port Hawkesbury waterfront, in the Kiosk building at 1 Water Street, Unit #2.
We are proud to name our vessel after 'Canada's great marine artist,' and Port Hawkesbury resident, Mr. Joseph Franklin Wright.
It is a traditional Cape Island Style vessel that is known for its seaworthiness and dependability. As an Atkinson Cape Island 43 trawler, this workhorse of the Nova Scotia fishing fleet is redesigned with the comfort and elegance of a fine cruising yacht.
The J. Franklin Wright is equipped with a hydrophone (so you may hear the whales) and the latest in electronic navigation equipment. She can accommodate up to 50 people. The cabin is heated. There is seating inside and outside. A canopy over the open cockpit will protect you from the hot sun or the salty Atlantic spray. She has two washrooms; a full galley and catering can be provided.
We are fully licensed to sell alcohol on board the vessel and also have a lobster fishing License (Catch & Release) so you can experience a day in the life of a Nova Scotia Lobster Fisherperson

Port Hawkesbury Harbour, South Bound Strait of Canso, Inhabitants Bay and return. Group Tours welcome. (Duration approximately 2 Hours)
Harbour Tour #2:
Port Hawkesbury Harbour, North Bound Strait of Canso, Transit the Canso Canal, St. Georges's Bay and return. Group Tours welcome. (Duration approximately 2 Hours)
Harbour Tour #3:
Transit St.Peter's Canal to St. Peter's Bay and return (Duration 2 hours)
Harbour Tour #4:
St. Peters Inlet to Cape George and return (Duration 2 hours)
