General Description
The Sheet Harbour office of the RCMP Halifax District Detachment serves the areas of Sheet Harbour , Moosehead, East Ship Harbour and Spry Harbour.
With a population of approximately 5,500 people, this is the most rural area of Halifax District Detachment.
Detachment
The Sheet Harbour office of Halifax District Detachment enforces Criminal Code, Liquor Control Act, Motor Vehicle Act, Federal Statutes pertaining to drug enforcement and a variety of Provincial Statutes and Municipal By-Laws. Break and enters, collisions, and criminal code violations make up the majority of the workload. Members also carry out Community Policing and Youth Liaison initiatives.
