The Computer Guy's Mission Statement
It is the mission of The Computer Guy to provide technical support for non-technical users as it relates to PC computers. This support includes hardware, operating systems, and software support. The Computer Guy has a particular focus on networking small to medium sized businesses. The Computer Guy also sells computer equipment as a secondary focus. Our primary concern is providing service to end users in need.
The Reason for The Computer Guy
In 1992 Ted Tupper our president was at Mount Allison University. Late one night (actually early one morning) he and a group of friends were assembling the components of a major paper that had been prepared over the course of the year. This paper represented a significant portion of their Mount A education. A portion of that paper got deleted. At that time the group was very motivated to recover this lost work. It occured to Ted that there should be someone who would make emergency house calls for this type problem. After scouring the yellow pages it was determined that there was no one available in beautiful downtown Sackville New Brunswick, and probably no one who did this type of work in Moncton or Halifax. A few months later Ted graduated (having successfully rescued the missing work from the digital ether) and launched the Company. Although he did work shortly after graduating in June of 92, the official launch of The Computer Guy as a full time business is January 1st, 1993.
What do we do?
The Computer Guy provides both on-site and drop off service for PC Computers. We repair the hardware, and software (for most common and some not so common applications). We also design and implement Networks for small to medium sized companies. We sell computers, and computer components. We provide friendly technical support on the phone.
