The Digby General Hospital serves a geographically rural area of about 10,000 citizens. We are located in District 2, Southwestern Nova Scotia. The District includes Yarmouth Regional Hospital and Roseway Hospital, Shelburne, as well as community-based and community care services. District 2 has a catch population of about 65,000.
Our commitment is to provide hospital-based:
- 24-hour Emergency Care
- Outpatient Services
- Inpatient Medical Care
- Restorative, Convalescent, and Continuing Care.
As the community primary care provider, we
- endeavor to provide access to a complete range of programs and services by partnership with a network of hospitals and care providers.
- Our staff of approximately 103 individuals are committed to responding to the unique needs of a rural setting.
