The Wood Turner's Shop has been a popular tourist attraction at Fisherman's Cove in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. For most of the year, Gerald Elvidge works at his well-equipped shops in Cow Bay.
Come to the studio in Cow Bay to see a wide variety of finished merchandise. The products are produced from Nova Scotia hardwoods, pine, and burls. Some logs are matured for years in a remote property in central Nova Scotia. This wood has character shaped by insects, moss, weather, and time.
The featured art at the studio are one-of-a-kind turnings by Gerry, specialty burls, bowls, specialty bowls including large salad mixing bowls, cabinets, chests, tables, antique reproductions, cutting boards, chopping blocks and tables, gifts, collectibles.
Souvenir items include unique hand-made Nova Scotia lighthouses, knick-knack barrels, toothpick holders, and many burled bowls.
