Hawboldt Industries was founded in 1906 to support the Atlantic fishery. While the company has maintained its roots in the fishing industry, it has developed into a world-class manufacturer and exporter of quality marine equipment. We presently serve such markets as Department of National Defense, offshore Oil & Gas, shipbuilding, fisheries, oceanographic and seismic research. As a company in the Timberland Group, our vision is to continue exceeding our customers’ expectations, by providing quality engineered product solutions.
Hawboldt Industries presently serves the defense, shipbuilding, oceanographic - seismic and offshore oil & gas markets.
The company is located in Chester, Nova Scotia, Canada, within easy access of highway 103 (45 miles south-west of Halifax International Airport) and the two international container terminals in the port of Halifax. Hawboldt has over 50 full-time employees, and its staff of professional engineers is active in both mechanical and hydraulic design.
In addition to research and development, the engineering department designs products and systems to meet specific operational requirements. These design requirements range from a single piece of equipment to an entire shipset: integrating deck equipment and hydraulic systems.
