In 1990 we moved to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia from Morris County, New Jersey, completely renovated our sea-side home to create the Blue Rocks Road Bed & Breakfast and turned its big old barn into the Lunenburg Bicycle Barn. Since we opened our doors we've provided expert service,sales advice and directions to the thousands of bicycle tourists who have found their way to the Barn. Our location on the scenic road to Blue Rocks, is just 2 kms. from the historic fishing village of Lunenburg. We chose this area because of its beauty, friendly people and quiet surroundings.

The Lunenburg Bicycle Barn has everything you'd hope to find in a bike shop. For 30 years Al has been in the bike business (his first shop was the Montclair Bikery, Montclair, New Jersey) and is happy to continue to provide quality products and service in this unique and beautiful setting.

If it's a basic repair or a quirky squeak, noise or rub, Al can fix it! Tandems, recumbents, no problem too big or too small. Bullet-proof custom wheelbuilding our specialty. After years of working on all kinds of bikes, Al has developed a skill and finesse not often seen. His is truly an art.
Bicycle Rentals...
Ride the smooth roads of the South Shore on one of our TREK hybrid bikes. The scenery is spectacular, whether you're riding along the coastline with its coves and ocean vistas, or on inland routes through rolling fields and valleys.
There's rarely any traffic, just plenty of open road through friendly fishing villages and small towns with artisans' studios and shops, museums, and fine restaurants.
