I was born in Ottawa Ontario in 1947 and was a Senior Division Manager with the National Gallery of Canada for nearly 20 years. I helped build our new NGC some 15 years ago and the divisions I managed were responsible for the mounting of specialized exhibitions with some of the worlds best known Canadian and international artists from around the world.
My love for fine art became a passion in the early 80’s when I mastered chalk pastels. By the 90’s I had built my first lithographic print studio from where I distributed my works around the world. Soon my images and printing techniques were being published in Canadian books and magazines and were setting new standards of excellence in the printmaking world.
Over my life I have worked in watercolours, gauche, pencil, airbrush, silkscreen, lithography, mezzotint, etching and acrylics and today I blend them all together in a mixed media mixed technique style of painting. Each of these finished components are then brought together for the first time by screening them directly to canvas in my studio. This is the first time I see the finished work of art as one entity. I am an artist who specializes in the perfection of fine art. Perfection comes at a price and that one is patience.
