The Mug and Anchor Pub

The 'Mug & Anchor Pub' was an innovation for the town of Mahone Bay when it opened March 16, 1989. The decor and atmosphere - including the startlingly real-looking 'Rhinoceros Head' mounted in the corner, brings to life 19th century English pubbery, where people drop down as part of a daily or weekly routine for lunch or an ale from one of thirteen beers on tap.

The Mug and Anchor Pub is located on the Main Street of historic Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. The Mug first opened on March 16, 1989 and has become a favourite to both locals and travelers alike. Upon entry you will find over 17 local and imported beers on tap and a full pub styled menu including fresh, local seafood.
