We are an informal family resource center for parents and their children as well as childcare providers. We are here to offer you a place away from the routines of home, where you and your child can play and learn together. We run interesting programs, and have a well-stocked library on parenting and developmental issues.
On site are well trained and experienced staff including early childhood educators who develop programs for the center.
Staff are available to offer assistance in areas pertaining to family and parenting needs. We will also make professional contacts for participants if required.

The mission of Parents’ Place is to strengthen and empower families in a nurturing environment, by promoting their physical, mental and spiritual well being without discrimination.
Our Goals
To provide opportunities for optimal growth of children and their families, in the town of Yarmouth and surrounding areas, by working with families to strengthen bonds, reduce risk factors and deliver services to meet the needs of children.
To build on community strengths by establishing and delivering services to meet the developmental needs of children and their families by introducing new services to the community and/or enhancing services already available.
To meet the challenging needs of the community, strengthen families, enhance bonds, influence the determinants of health, promote resilience, improve parent-child relationships and develop ongoing support systems and resources.
Continue to expand and sustain programming by securing additional funding and developing new partnerships.
