The SHAID Tree Shelter Society provides temporary care and shelter to helpless animals in distress, be they abandoned, homeless or relinquished and we attempt to place as many as possible into responsible and caring homes.
To care for the animals in our shelter as humanely as possible until someone chooses to adopt them. To increase awareness and support for the humane treatment of companion animals. To reduce overpopulation of companion animals through education and promotion of spaying and neutering. To promote, through education, responsible pet ownership.
Our shelter's door have been open since 1986, and in 1990 we moved into our new building. The shelter cost $120,000 to build, and all the money was raised through fundraisers and donations. Our shelter was paid in full in 1995 and now all the monies raised through fundraisers goes directly towards the care of our very precious residents.
