Marvel at the 18th century heritage homes, shops and buildings of Dock Street; photograph the grandeur of the third largest natural harbour in the world; and discover miles of sandy beaches and quaint fishing villages just minutes from your motel door.

Your vacation in south west Nova Scotia begins at the Wildwood...cozy accommodation, and centrally located along the province’s picturesque Lighthouse Route.

The Wildwood offers 20 spacious and comfortable rooms, accommodation in the center of historic Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Canada. Each of the 15 double rooms is equipped with two double beds while each of the remaining single rooms has a large queen-size bed. All rooms have a three-piece bath, a TV, phone, air-conditioning and FREE wireless internet access.

Guests receive a FREE continental breakfast that includes hot, homemade bran muffins. Owner Bill Cobham (and wife, Susan) have owned the Wildwood since 1988.

The menu includes juice, toast or hot homemade muffins, cereal and coffee, tea or milk. There is always plenty of lively and informative discussion around the breakfast tables, from guests that are often on a mix of different racial backgrounds and nationalities (many of whom come to the area to do genealogical research).

The Wildwood is on Minto Street in Shelburne, a quiet residential area surrounded by large hardwood trees that canopy the street. Guests are within walking distance of the restaurants, museums, shops and historic homes and buildings that envelop the town. There are always things to see and events to attend – the Annual Jazz and Blues Festival, the Founders Day Weekend Celebrations and the Annual Whirligig and Weathervane Festival just to mention a few.
