Leather Works
Our shop is 15 years old and like any teenager continues to surprise her parents. The store is the front room of a 3 room workshop where all our products are made. Hand sewing leather fire buckets is our main winter work. The rest of the year we sew more contemporary products such as belts, bags, wallets, etc.
We open the shop around the end of April and stay open until late October. The rest of the year you can call ahead and come see us in the workshop. Email enquiries are always welcome. We see signs of maturity, but youthful enthusiasm prevails. When visiting the Cabot Trail, come see us.
Buckets
Leather Fire Buckets were once commonly used throughout Europe and North America to fight fires. They were lighter than wooden buckets for passing in bucket brigades. In general, buckets were either lined with pitch or painted to waterproof the leather.
