Deal's Auto Clinic

Don has lived in the valley his whole life and calls Canaan his home. He has spent those years building his customer base through what comes naturally to him - hard work, honesty and treating people the way he would like to be treated.

While Don enjoys his job, it's not all that he is. When he's not in the garage, he's usually outside partaking in some of his favorite activities such as fishing, hunting, playing baseball, swimming , cross-country skiing and bike riding; usually with his dog Rex in tow. He also enjoys taking his camera out with him and capturing anything that inspires him.

Don began his business over 30 years ago, but that is not when he began his career as a mechanic. That started more than 45 years ago when he recieved his first job at Milne's Garage in New Minas in December of 1955. From Milne's he moved onto other businesses such as Mailmac Motors and Langmaid Motors.

Don wasn't content to work for other people, and so his entrepreneurial spirit encouraged him to lease some bays from the Candian Tire store in Kentville. He then moved onto a Fina station, also located in Kentville.

Eventually, Don took over the operation of the Shell station in Wolfville where he operated his business for 17 years until relocating to his current location in New Minas in 1988, located across from the RCMP Detachment.
