Springvale Nurseries

Springvale Nurseries is Nova Scotia’s largest nursery stock grower. Our company specializes in products grown here and hardy to our region. Over 90% of the stock sold at Springvale is grown on our farms and in our container production range. In fact, most of our stock is also propagated here from seed, division, rooted cuttings and even tissue culture, especially our hardy “True Bloom Roses”

Springvale provides these great products and services to the landscape industry and gardening enthusiasts in our region.

Springvale Garden Center: Located at our production nursery on 4796 Highway 221, Berwick (Welsford). You will find the largest garden center you have ever seen with five acres of production of trees, shrubs, evergreens, vines, perennials and specialty plants. You will love our helpful and professional staff who will coach you so that you can make the best choices for your garden, yard or landscaping project. We specialize in our plants but also have other supplies and giftware for the gardener.

Springvale Trees: We are one of the few actual producers of large “caliper” trees in the region. You will find 75 acres of trees in production with over 30,000 trees to pick from in sizes from a few feet tall up to 10” caliper monster trees which can provide you with instant landscaping. Our helpful staff will take you on a tour of our fields so you can pick the right trees for your project and we will harvest them at the right time in the season (spring and fall).

Springvale Planting Service: We not only grow the trees we plant them too. In fact our professional landscaping team will provide complete landscaping services for your commercial or residential projects. You will be able to plan and implement your entire project from start to finish with Springvale plants and professional installation.

Springvale Wholesale Division: This is where our business began, producing and supplying trees for the landscaping industry. We still supply a very large line of nursery stock to wholesale clients including retail garden centers, developers, landscaping contractors, municipal units, and other installer, resellers of nursery products.

Sky’s Creations: Our very own “plant artist” Sky Silmeryn creates all sorts of interesting topiary, Bonsai and magnificent “funky” plant art. You have to see it! Words can’t describe what Sky can do with a plant!
