Welcome to the Mabou River Inn, located on Route 19, the Ceilidh Trail, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia

Come and enjoy the spectacular beaches, beautiful highlands setting, Celtic music, Scottish culture, fabulous hiking and walking trails, kayaking, birds and bald eagles galore, trout and salmon fishing, as well as the many quality products and services of our community. We have all that a person or family needs in our community for entertainment, cultural experience or adventure and we welcome you to discover it.

We pride ourselves on our fresh homemade biscuits (scones), cinnamon rolls, breads, pizza, and meals. It's just like what Grandma used to make! Our facility is designed to allow you the space to tuck yourselves away, or to interact and enjoy the company of our other guests.

We continue to strive to provide the best possible service and facilities in a relaxed, clean and professional environment. We have tried to anticipate the needs of our guests and want everyone to feel they are at the next best thing (sometimes preferred) to home.

Our Country Inn consists of 9 rooms (all with private or ensuite bathrooms) in the Inn, as well as 3 spacious, fully equipped, two bedroom, housekeeping suites. We are fully licensed and are an ideal facility for individual travellers, families, groups or professional conferences.
