Big Pond Boat Shop fulfills their clients' dreams with custom built power and sail boats

Located on the shores of the Bras d’Or Lake, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Big Pond Boat Shop has been building boats for the past 16 years.

The shop does new construction in wood or Core-cell™/fiberglass composite of recreational boats, for power, sail and rowing.

The shop is fully equipped and does new construction, refits and restoration for vessels up to 45’, providing design consultation, design adaptation and a full range of expert rigging, mechanical and electrical installation.

Big Pond Boat Shop builds trawler yachts in size range 28 - 45'.

Big Pond Boat Shop builds Catboats designed by Joel White and by Charles Wittholz. Millecat is a modern catboat designed by Big Pond Boat Shop.

Big Pond Boat Shop designs superstructures and interiors for trawler yachts up to 45'.

Big Pond Boat Ship builds sailing and rowing tenders. Favourite designs are by Joel White and include the easily towed Nutshell Pram and Martha's Tender as well as the 11'2' elegant Shellback.

Big Pond Boat Shop is a member of the Nova Scotia Boatbuilders Association (NSBA) and the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC)
