Spanish Ship Bay is a part of Liscomb Harbor, located on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore. Rumor has it that the name originated because Captain Kidd used the bay as a place to hide his ships from British warships. Nowadays the bay’s treasures are its tasty mussels and scallops and its picturesque islands teeming with shorebirds.

Our guesthouse sits on the shore of this bay, across the street from the village general store. The house was recently renovated, and has two bedrooms and two baths, a modern kitchen and a large living/dining area. Amenities include a gas fireplace and satellite television. The south-facing view out over the water from the living room and deck is spectacular.

Our 572 square foot cottage sits adjacent to our wharf next to a babbling brook. The cottage built in 2007 gives you a panoramic view of the bay and its shore lines. It has a queen bed with an ensuite four piece bath, futon, large kitchen and living area, cathedral ceiling and skylight. As you sit on the spacious deck watching the birds and listening to the tranquil sounds of the brook, you will realize paradise is not so expensive; this might be the only therapy you’ll ever need.
